Stay at Home Mom Beautifully Illustrates What It's Like to Have a 2-Year-Old

Being a stay at home mom is difficult all on it's own, and when your child is going through their terrible twos, it's even more challenging. One stay at home mama illustrates all the funny, difficult and sweet moments with her two year old son, James, that show that it's not always terrible at the twos.

It's not for nothing that the second year of kids is called "the terrible twos"; by that time toddlers are already walking around, starting to talk and are testing their boundaries and also those of their parents. This challenging time can either make you or break as a parent, but if you really take your time and live in the moment, the little two-year old's in your life can teach you a whole lot. One mom decided to capture her son's terrible twos in a series of honest and sweet illustrations. Kara Western is a stay at home mom to two-year-old James, and in her illustrations, she perfectly shows what it is like to hang out with a child all day long. Any parent can relate to the moments shown in her funny illustrations that show that the twos are not always as terrible as some people might think…

#5 James is my constant reminder to stay present. I have a bad habit of getting caught up on my phone, wasting my time instead of doing something fulfilling. When I'm in my haze, he comes up to me with a toy, eagerly calling me to play with him. I've learnt to look at my phone less, and instead of missing it, I spend more time playing with James, doing yoga, drawing or learning a new language! There is so much to do now that I'm not stuck on the internet. It's a really great feeling
