Chance the Rapper had more to celebrate this Fourth of July than just America's Independence Day. At a backyard barbecue on Wednesday, the Grammy Award-winning rapper proposed to his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley. Several friends and family members were there to witness the event.
Chance, 25, and his fiancée Kirsten Coley began dating in 2013. They had a daughter together, Kensli, in September 2015. Not much is otherwise known about Coley as she keeps a very low profile, without confirmed Twitter, Instagram, or even Facebook accounts. Chance shouts out to Coley on his own social media accounts, even featuring a video of himself rapping about his love for her. He has also mentioned his girlfriend and daughter in is acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards in 2017.
In the video of Chance's proposal, he gets down on one knee, shirtless, as his friends and family are heard screaming with excitement in the background. His exact words are, "Will you make me a man and be my wife?" Of course, she said yes, and their daughter ran over to join them as Coley showed off her engagement ring.
