Former Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller posted graphic pictures on Saturday after a second surgery. The image showed her unclothed back covered in scars and stitches. She notes that she received 52 staples.
Miller was released from prison at the end of March. She presented to the emergency room shortly thereafter due to excruciating neck pain. It was suspected that Miller was suffering from a spinal infection, for which she received emergency spinal surgery in April.
The day after undergoing the initial surgery, however, she had preliminarily been diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma called Burkitt lymphoma. This lymphoma is very aggressive and can spread rapidly to the brain and spinal fluid. It makes up just 1 to 2 percent of all lymphomas and can be lethal in weeks if the patient doesn't receive treatment for it.
Abby Lee Miller underwent a number of rounds of chemotherapy as part of her cancer treatment prior to this most recent surgery. Despite her hospital stays, she has been diligent about keeping her fan-based posted about her health status via Instagram.
